The City of Prince George is seeking the expertise of residents interested in volunteering to serve two-year terms as part of either the Advisory Committee on Accessibility or the Advisory Committee on Development Design.
Accessibility volunteers meet monthly and are responsible to provide advice to City Council and solicit feedback from the community on matters that affect persons with disabilities, seniors, and those with access challenges, including identification, removal and prevention of physical and social barriers.
The committee's goal is to encourage well-planned development in the city that considers the areas of safety, public health, convenience, climate, and more.
Development volunteers meet weekly to provide advice to City Council on matters respecting policies and guidelines affecting the city’s physical/built environment as well as applications for development permits in accordance with the Committee Terms of Reference. This committee's goal is to encourage well-planned development in the city that considers the areas of public health, safety, convenience, climate, accessibility and aesthetics.
