Social media contest to determine if PG becomes new location for Foam Festival

It’s not hard to enjoy exercise when you spend it racing 5-kilometres through a foam-filled festival.

The 5K Foam Fest is returning for another summer and although it’s not scheduled for Prince George for 2019, it could be on the docket next year.

A Facebook post that was published by 5K Foam Fest has been making the rounds, asking PG residents to share it with the chance to make the location list for next summer.

“We’re looking at new locations for our 2020/2021 tour . . . if this post gets 2,500 shares, we’ll bring the World’s #1 Rated Fun Run to you,” the post says.

Currently, the post has 532 shares, but that only counts the shares made of the original post!

If PG makes the cut, they can expect the 5K run with optional obstacles like the Spider Web Forest, Body Washer, Push Drunk Love, DD Mega Slide and the Chamber of Foam.

The run is also being held in BC locations like Vancouver, Nanaimo and at Sun Peaks Resort.
