The Prince George RCMP want to wash your car for charity

Once again, the RCMP and partners from the B.C. Sheriffs Services and Prince George Fire and Rescue will be holding a car wash to raise money for the Special Olympics in B.C.

The event will take place this Saturday at Canadian Tire from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Many members of these public safety organizations will be washing vehicles for a minimum of a $10 donation.

There will also be 50/50 raffle tickets sold for $5 each.

Only 2,000 tickets are being sold with a maximum prize of $5,000 to be awarded, so get your tickets while you can!

Proceeds raised will be added to the funds raised from the upcoming Law Enforcement Torch Run on June 7.

According to RCMP, the goal is to use all the money raised from both events as a donation to the Special Olympics to support PG area athletes.

“Last year’s car wash was a huge success with over 50 cars washed and nearly two thousand dollars raised,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.

“This will be an even bigger event this year and we look forward to partnering with Canadian Tire’s Jump Start Day happening at the same time. Come out and support both events.”
