The 4.1 hectares fire that was burning two kilometres northwest of Lumby is now 100% contained.
The area received significant precipitation all day, helping to quell wildfire behaviour. 11 firefighters are managing the incident.
Currently there are now no out of control wildfires burning in the Kamloops Fire Centre.
(UPDATE: May 24th @ 8:15 a.m.) - 4 hectare wildfire burning near Lumby, no current threat to the town
The BC Wildfire Service has mapped out the fire near Lumby at four hectares in size.
Despite the heavy winds, there is no current threat to Lumby and no evacuation orders in place.
"The BC Wildfire Service has not recommended any evacuations and my understanding is that there are no communities or houses that have been evacuated at this time," said Max Birkner from the BC Wildfire Service. "It's a four hectare fire, it's up on the ridge above Lumby, but it's still about two kilometres away from Lumby so it's still a fair distance from the town."
Three firefighters, a helicopter and an air tanker are currently deployed to fight the fire.

(Original story: May 23rd @ 11:15 p.m.) - BC Wildfire is reporting one wildfire of note for the Kamloops Fire Centre that is currently burning out of control.
The fire is located on Cooper Road, two kilometers northwest of Lumby. The fire is estimated to be 8.5 hectares in size.
The incident has received helicopter bucketing assistance and air-tanker support to lay down retardant on the north and east flanks. More personnel will be deployed to the fire tomorrow as needed.
