It was an expensive eight minutes for a driver on Vancouver on Wednesday.
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) pulled over the same driver for distracted driving twice in that short amount of time.

The first stop was at Granville Street and 15th Avenue, where the driver was handed a $368 ticket and four penalty points towards their license for the infraction.
Apparently, $368 and the penalty points weren’t enough as the driver was pulled over and ticketed again for distracted driving at Granville Street and West Broadway (9th Avenue).
The two tickets came just eight minutes and 600 metres apart on one of Vancouver’s busiest streets.
Luckily for the driver and everyone else in the area at the time, the distracted driving didn’t result in an accident.
The driver’s identity wasn’t revealed, but the VPD Traffic Unit reports that it was an out of province driver and they were in a rental car from Avis.
