It’s happened to all of us.
You excitedly go through the drive-thru of your favourite fast-food chain and then head home, only to realize too late that they forgot an item or screwed up your order somehow.
It’s an honest mistake, but you’d be lying if you said it wasn’t disappointing.
For one Vancouver Island man, it was a little more than disappointing when the staff at the Wendy’s in Colwood forgot to put mustard on his burger on Tuesday night.
Staff were forced to call police when the suspect returned to the drive-thru window and began violently smashing the glass.
“The suspect got out of his car and came up to the drive-thru window and began yelling at staff while he smashed the plexiglass barrier and completely ripped it off the wall,” explained Cst. Nancy Saggar.
“Before leaving, the suspect threw the plexiglass barrier underneath another vehicle in the parking lot.”
Thankfully, no staff were injured and now the RCMP is turning its attention to finding the suspect, who drove away in a blue or grey Toyota Matrix hatchback.
He’s described as a Caucasian man in his 50s, with a medium build, reddish-brown beard and no hair.
He was wearing jeans and a plaid overcoat.
Anyone who knows the suspect or has information on the crime is asked to contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
