‘This will change my life’: BC man eyes retirement on the road after $2M lotto win

Colin Turick’s retirement plans just changed significantly.

He and his wife now have a lot to look forward to in that next stage of life after Turick won $2 million from the BC/49 draw on May 14.

“This win means I’m able to enjoy my retirement,” the Prince George resident said. “I will purchase a motorhome and my wife and I will travel around the States.”

Turick purchased the winning ticket from the North Nechako Food Store, which is the same place he checked it after the draw.

“I checked my ticket at the kiosk and thought, ‘I must be reading this wrong…the machine is broken…something can’t be right,” he explained.

Naturally, he shared the news with his wife immediately and Turick said that she was “in disbelief” as well.

As for how it feels to be a multi-millionaire, Turick has had a hard time describing the feeling.

“I can’t even think of a word… disbelief, I think. I am in shock! This will change my life for sure.”
