Residents travelling on Hwy 1 should be aware of a planned closure this afternoon.
According to Drive BC, avalanche control work will close the highway between the Griffin Lake Avalanche Gate and the Clanwilliam OH Bridge. The closure will span for 15.4 kilometres west of Revelstoke.

Work starts at 1 pm and will go until 3 pm. A detour will not be available during this time so travellers are urged to plan ahead.
