UPDATE: Hwy 1 reopened west of Revelstoke after early-morning closure

(UPDATE: Jan. 22 @ 8:02 am): The work is now complete the road reopened.

(Original story: Jan. 22 @ 5:24 am): Hwy 1 will be closed in both directions west of Revelstoke early this morning.

The road between Griffin Lake Avalanche Gate and Three Valley-Victor FSR will be shut off between 6 and 8 am.

It is for avalanche control work.

No detour is available.
