The stretch of highway between Hope and Merritt is expected to see 15 centimetres of snow beginning tonight, but that may not be the biggest issue.
Wind gusts to 90 km/h are also expected, which will blow that snow around and contribute to some poor visibility for drivers.
It’s not the only stretch of highway between the B.C. Interior and the coast that will be troublesome, as the Connector (Hwy 97C) will also see some snow and similar wind conditions.
Several Snowfall Warnings in effect for the Highway Passes including #BCHwy99 #BCHwy5 #BCHwy1 and #BCHwy1. Full details available from our "Traveller's Route Forecast" https://t.co/HZI3RRyjbk #DriveBC #DriveToConditions pic.twitter.com/zpLD500NjM
