The winter weather continues to hit British Columbia hard and it’s expected to take a toll on the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) today.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the stretch of highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.
Between 15-30 centimetres of snow is expected to fall.
“A vigorous frontal system moving across interior BC continues to bring snow to (the) Trans-Canada Highway,” explained the weather alert.
“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”
Hwy 1 is already being closed intermittently for avalanche control throughout the day.
