Five dollars will go a long way at Sun Peaks as the resort hosts its first ‘High Five Day’ on Tuesday.
Previously known as ‘Toonie Day’, guests can enjoy a full day of lift-accessed activities for only $5 and a non-perishable food item.
All funds raised this summer will be going towards fire relief efforts in Fort McMurray and food items will be donated to the Kamloops Food Bank.
"We are really excited to introduce 'High Five Day' this summer to our visitors. Not only will our guests get to experience a full day of lift-accessed activities on the mountain, but they will be helping a fantastic cause in the process," said Aidan Kelly, Director of Sales and Marketing, Sun Peaks Resort.
This past winter, Sun Peaks was able to collect about 3,500 pounds of food and raise over $8,500, recording the most successful fundraising day in the event’s history, dating back to 1999.
