Hi, my name is Tangena Edmunds. I was born and raised here in Prince George. I left to earn my diploma in digital Photography in Kelowna and came back and started my business at the end of 2009. I am a Mother of an amazing 5-year-old daughter, a wife to an incredible man, a sister, daughter and friend to some exceptional people.
I am often referred to as a very energetic, bubbly, happy person who loves old movies, anything vintage, being out in nature and relaxing by sitting cuddled up with a nice strong coffee. I am most passionate about bringing happiness to my life and the people around me. As well as laughing as much as humanly possible while fully living and loving every moment we have on this gorgeous earth!
I love serving the world with images that act as heirlooms to their lives. Being able to capture peoples authentic self and the connection they have with the loved ones around them is an amazing feeling.
Why do you use Instagram?
Instagram has always been my favourite social media platform. Being a photographer and a creative person I found it great to flip through images from around the world so easily and the amount of talent in one area is inspiring. I have met so many amazing professionals and clients through Instagram.
What will people see on your feed?
My feed is a mixture of my personal life and images I have taken of my beautiful and amazing clients. I have had the majority of my clients tell me they not only chose to work with me because they loved my style but they were attracted to my personality. When I show people who I am as well as my work they will know more confidently if I am the right photographer for them!
Do you have a specific style?
My style is photojournalist or lifestyle. There are so many personal styles of photography but photojournalist or lifestyle seems to be the most fitting for myself. I love the genuine feel of capturing a couple or family in a state of authentic love for each other and happiness. I’ve always been more attracted to those candid shots versus the posed studio style.
Favorite Instagram accounts to follow?
There are so many that I love! Not all my favourite accounts are photographers but anything that inspires me by their passion, hustle, and love for what they do!

How do you decide on the locations for your shoots?
The locations for my sessions are always based on the clients. The location is a huge part of the session and should reflect the personalities of the clients to make them comfortable and gives the right feel for their images that they will hang on their walls and have for years to come.
Biggest Instagram moment?
I am not sure what my biggest Instagram moment would be. Anytime someone I am inspired by shows love on an image I share, or a client comes to me and says they’d love for me to photograph their wedding because they found me on Instagram and love my work, both are big moments for me.

Why do you follow PrinceGeorgeNow?
I love keeping up with everything local and Its also a great hub for finding new things around town. I have found a few areas for sessions or just to go to with my family that I didn’t know existed until I saw them on local Instagram pages.
