A Duncan man has now been charged in the double homicide of two people over the weekend in Crofton.
Just after midnight on Saturday, police were called to a report of a suspicious circumstance at a house in the 8600 block of Crofton Road.
When officers arrived they located two deceased persons in the residence, with another man who was quickly arrested.
Justin James Dodd, age 33, of Duncan is expected to appear in court on November 2, 2021 to answer to two counts of second degree murder.
“The investigation into this incident remains active and on-going, with officers from the North Cowichan RCMP General Investigation Section continuing gather evidence and following up on priority tasks,” said Inspector Chris Bear, the Officer in Charge of the North Cowichan RCMP Detachment.
