A man from Vancouver Island is overjoyed after winning big from a scratch and win ticket.
Colin Davidson from Sooke said he broke into a happy dance after realizing he won $100,000 from a Set for Life ticket.
The Sooke resident purchased the ticket from Pharmasave on West Coast Road and says he enjoys playing the lottery for fun.
“It’s like a five-minute fantasy where you can dream about what you would do if you won,” Davidson said.
Now that he has won, Davidson plans to put his prize towards home renovations and will invest in his daughter’s education.
“I remember scratching this ticket…and I remember feeling like it wasn’t true,” Davidson said. “I had to look at the back of the ticket to make sure that I wasn’t fooling myself…it feels so surreal!”
“I asked them to look to make sure it was real and get a new set of eyes to look it over. When we realized we won, we did a happy dance. It was quite an enjoyable afternoon,” he said.
