After years of service with the Nanaimo RCMP, Boomer has decided to spend the rest of his adult dog-hood relaxing and living with his former partner Constable Clay Wurzinger.

To say that Boomer had anything less than a successful career would be an understatement.

Boomer and handler Wurzinger were part of a number of success stories.

Together, they took down thieves, assaulters and were able to locate individuals in some very difficult terrain.

“We were never the best-looking team, never the most polished, but we tried hard, trained hard, and gave it all we had every time the phone rang, and we were rewarded with success,” said Wurzinger.

Congratulations on the retirement Boomer.

You are, without a doubt, a good boy.
