Police trying to find owner of safe found among abandoned items

The West Shore RCMP are asking for help finding the owner of a First Alert safe that was found in a shopping cart.

On Dec. 6, 2022, the West Shore RCMP attended the 2300 block of Belair Rd in Langford for a report of suspicious circumstances. Earlier in the day, at about 4:15 pm, two suspects had left a shopping cart containing miscellaneous items at the location.

Officers attended and found several items including a First Alert safe, which is about two feet by two feet in size. The safe was sealed and police are looking for the owners of the safe along with the suspects.


Description of suspect #1:

  • Caucasian female in her early 30s;
  • 5’6 tall with a medium build;
  • white/blonde hair;
  • wearing a grey Lululemon coat, brown tights.

Description of suspect #2:

  • Caucasian male in his 40s;
  • Over 6 ft tall with a slim build;
  • Wearing a black baseball cap and black zip up hoodie with a white stained t-shirt and baggy jeans.
