If this weather hasn’t convinced you that spring is right around the corner, the return of major roadwork should do the trick.
The City of West Kelowna announced today that Phase 2 of the active transportation infrastructure upgrades on Glenrosa and McIver roads will begin on Monday.
As a result, there will be up to 12 weeks of road closures and detours in the area.

Glenrosa Road will be closed from Morningside to Webber, while McIver Road will be shut down between Glenrosa and McTaggart.
Detours involving Yorkton Road, Morningside Drive, McTaggart Road, Gorman Road and Webber Road will be implemented, with a 30 km/h speed limit in place.

Phase 1 of this project, which happened in 2020, cost the City $4.6 million.
