(Original story: May 17 @ 6:17 am): The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) is responding to a grass fire currently burning out of control just 17 km east of Cache Creek.
The Juniper Knoll fire is estimated to be just under 0.01 hectares and is being supported by BCWS, RCMP and BC Hydro.
Erika Berg with BCWS confirmed that the cause of the fire is still unknown, but is unlikely to get very large due to wet conditions not fuelling the fire as well as cooler temperatures.
