(Original Story July 22nd @11:40 a.m.) -
A fire north of Salmon Arm in the Shuswap Highlands started on Thursday.
The wildfire is located at Angle Mountain, about 3.5 kilometres north of Anglemont.
At two hectares in size, it's currently not a fire of note, but crews are on site Saturday working to build a helipad to make the fire more accessible to fire fighters.
The Kamloops Fire Centre is saying the location of the fire is "in very steep terrain, making it hard to access for crews."
Three firefighters are working on the helipad today and one helicopter is on the scene bringing in supplies.
No structures are threatened at this time.
