BCWS has 47 firefighters and three helicopters actioning the Fontas River wildfire with no heavy equipment at this time.
There are no structures being affected by this fire, says BCWS.

A wildfire in northern BC has grown to an estimated 600-hectares since being discovered on Tuesday.
The lightning-caused fire, named the Fontas River fire, is 150-kilometres southeast of Fort Nelson near the BC-Alberta border. Despite its size it is not threatening or affecting any structures.
BCWS has dispatched three helicopters and 34 firefighters to the fire, with an additional 18 crewmen en route.
The fire is the largest of fires that have began in the 2019 year, according to BCWS fire map.
