The Stanley Cup Finals get underway on Saturday, as the Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars are the only teams left battling it out for hockey’s holy grail.
That means there are a trio of former Kelowna Rockets stars that are in the finals and at least one of them will be winning their first Stanley Cup by the time all is said and done.

Dallas has a pair of former Rockets on the roster, as team captain Jamie Benn and Blake Comeau both wore teal and red during their junior days.
Benn has led the way for the Stars forward group with eight goals and 18 points in 21 playoff games so far.
Meanwhile, Comeau has a championship pedigree from his days in Kelowna, as the 34-year-old won a pair of WHL championships and a Memorial Cup with the Rockets.
It all comes down to this!

Luke Schenn is the former Rocket on the other side of the series, as he’s enjoying a playoff run with the Lightning this year.
Schenn, who was a Vancouver Canuck last year, will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his younger brother Brayden, who won his first Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues.
Game one is set for Saturday and the series will finish up between Sept. 25-30, depending on how many games it goes.
Whatever happens, Rockets mural artist Joey Tramer will be adding at least one Stanley Cup to the wall at Prospera Place next time she’s in town.
