Newly formed beach volleyball club finds the podium at Youth Beach Provincial Championships

Local athletes representing Volo Beach Volleyball Club competed at this past weekend’s Volleyball BC Youth Beach Provincial Championships held at Spanish Banks, Vancouver.

Congratulations to all Volo teams competing at the 195-team beach doubles event.

Kelowna’s Owen McParland and Walker Sodaro won the Gold Medal after sweeping the team from Ducks Volleyball Club 2-0. Twenty of the top 14U boys’ teams from around the province competed in hot and windy conditions over the two-day event.

McParland & Sodaro were virtually unstoppable this season with tournament wins across the VBC Sand Series events.
