Kamloops weekend weather calls for sun, clouds and periods of rain

Kamloops residents will see a little bit of everything this weekend...

The forecast is calling for sunshine, clouds, and periods of rain throughout.

Yesterday I hiked up a hill to find some trees I had spotted within the deep green evergreen forest. Following long disused logging roads, I worked my way up. As I happily trudged along, the weather was moving quickly. Clouds piled up, changed shapes and darkened. I finally found my tree quarry lurking below me. I pushed through the heavy undergrowth to get to the isolated yellow beacon. Meanwhile that weather change turned the skies dark and moments after I got this photo, snow started to fall. I turned downhill and headed back to the cottage and it’s welcoming wood stove. Elapsed time spent happily walking: four hours.

Friday should be the nicest day as the high is 14 degrees with sunshine. Clouds could form overnight as the low drops to four degrees.

Expect more clouds on Saturday as the high gets to 11 degrees. Overnight, lows should drop to five degrees with, you guessed it, clouds.

Sunday could see periods of rain throughout the day with a high of 10 degrees. Expect cloudy periods overnight with a low of one degree.

Prepare for everything this weekend!
