It’s snowing at Silver Star Mountain Resort this morning, reminding powder lovers of ski season.
This morning the mountain resorts and high elevation roads saw some snowfall, and Silver Star got a pretty good dose of it.
According to the Silver Star Community page, the resort lost power just after 1 a.m., and it’s been snowing there quite a bit.
The resort’s live weather forecast says they have received 2 cm of snow in the last 24 hours, but this photo sent into meteorologist Wesla English shows 22 cm of snow on the ground as of 9:30 a.m. this morning.
Big White Ski Resort also got a light dusting of snow overnight, as did the mountain passes, so travellers in the area should be cautious.
