In Kamloops, widespread smoke is expected to remain from Wednesday and into Thursday.
Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to hit 32 degrees Celsius with winds from the west gusting up to 20 km/h.
Widespread smoke is expected for Thursday with a high of 38 degrees Celsius.
While the winds may clear some of the smoke and improve the air quality, the flip side is it may also grow the existing wildfires.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy stated that the smoke concentrations will vary as winds, fire behaviour and temperatures change.
Remember to avoid fire-risk areas in the backcountry.
Visit the BC Wildfire Service for information on the areas currently burning.
Avoid strenuous outdoor activity and if you have chest pains, throat irritation or difficulty breathing, visit your doctor.
The Smoky Skies Bulletin is also in effect for 100 Mile, the Cariboo Region, Chilcotin, East Kootenays, Fraser Canyon and Similkameen.
