Weekend weather calls for sun and snow

Kamloops residents hoping to avoid the snow this Family Day long weekend will have to stay indoors as there are flurries and sun in the forecast.

According to Environment Canada, Friday night will see a low of -7°C with a 60% chance of flurries.

Saturday is more of the same but a little warmer. There is a 40% chance of flurries with highs of -2°C and lows of -10°C.

Things look to shape up on Sunday as skies will clear, but the temperature will drop to highs of -5°C and lows of -15°C.

Monday looks to warm up a little as highs will be -4°C and lows will be -9°C. Clear skies are expected throughout the day.
