Environment Canada says the snowstorm that hit the North Thompson yesterday won't ease until Thursday night. A winter storm warning remains in effect for the North Thompson and Shuswap.
Snowfall amounts are still expected to reach 30 to 50 centimetres by tomorrow and residents are encouraged to postpone non-essential travel.
"A Pacific frontal system will continue to give heavy snow to the central interior and the Columbia regions today and tonight," Environnment Canada says.
"The snow will ease by Thursday night as the system moves southward and weakens."
