Kamloops RCMP Officer Back at Work after Being Shot

Thirteen months after being shot during a routine traffic stop, Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jean Rene Michaud has returned to work.

RCMP confirmed that Michaud has returned to work in an administrative capacity.

Michaud was shot in December 2014 after pulling a vehicle over in Batchelor Heights.

Although dressed in full uniform, Michaud was treated for life-threatening injuries.

Kenneth Knutson was arrested following a 12-hour man hunt and is facing numerous charges including the attempted murder of Michaud.

On January 18^th, Knutson’s lawyer said he plans to enter a guilty plea on March 17^th.
