This past weekend, the NowMedia team checked out Burger 55 in downtown Penticton for our Get Local series, and we absolutely loved it.

This place is killing the burger game, so we wanted our readers to have a taste of this mouthwatering menu.

If you haven’t heard yet, we recently launched PentictonNow, so to celebrate we are sending one winner and their friends to burger heaven.

We have $50 in cash for a meal for you and three friends and an additional $50 for gas.

This past weekend we headed downtown Penticton to Burger 55, and they are absolutely KILLING the burger game.

And not only that, the whole experience from when you walk in the door is unique.

When you walk in, the first thing you do is grab a clipboard that's hanging on the wall which has a checklist of menu items.

Now this is not an ordinary menu, but a whole page of customizable options to build your burger. (oh, and you can also build your poutine.)

First step is choosing between the eight different kinds of patties, ranging from beef, chicken, mushroom, lamb, bison, salmon and even ahi tuna.

Once you've made this tough decision, you can choose between seven bun choices and ten cheese options.

Next comes home-made sauces, toppings and premium toppings. This alone took us about ten minutes.

Once the burger has been built, you move onto sides. They have the usual fries, sweet potato fries, corn dogs and onion rings, but like we said before, build your own poutine. And yes, you can have mac and cheese as a topping.

The last choice is of course, what will you be gulping down while enjoying this ultimate spread. Aside from the fountain drinks, they also have mastered the milkshake, and feature a shake of the month.

Another cool beverage option is their 55 root beer draught which was very refreshing.

After completing your form, make sure you put your name on it, because that's how they'll serve you your meal. When they call your name you'll get a tray and you can sit and enjoy your burger goodness at one of their communal tables, or grab a spot on their patio!

All in all, some of the best burgers that we have ever had.
