Uber may not be in Vancouver yet, but Uber Eats has arrived.
A partnership between Uber Eats and McDonald’s will now allow people in select Vancouver areas to order food for delivery, which is unsurprisingly being called McDelivery.
McDelivery is already available in more than 340 McDonald’s locations nationwide, including stores in Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, London, Toronto, Ottawa, Kitchener and Hamilton.
"McDelivery is another exciting and important step in our guest experience evolution, enabling greater convenience and choice to our guests in enjoying their McDonald's favourites," said Andy Bates, a Vancouver McDonald's franchisee.
"The service is easy to use and fast, and the early feedback shows our guests love this new experience!"
McDonald’s full menu will be available to users using Uber Eats to order McDelivery with the exception of soft serve cones.
The service will be available for 11 McDonald’s locations in Vancouver to start, with that number expected to grow quickly.
"McDonald's is one of the most searched restaurants in the UberEATS app,” explained Dan Park, GM of Uber Eats Canada. “We're excited to expand our reach and deliver what they've been craving."
There’s no word yet on when the service might expand to other parts of B.C.
