If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select and why?
Warren Roy and Shannon Rogers (the CEO & Founder, and the President and General Counsel of Global, Relay Communications Inc.). I attended the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in 2013 and they won the business-to-business products and services category. I liked their personalities and their story of overcoming all the various struggles that an entrepreneur faces to become the success they are today. It also seemed like they have a great business relationship and work really well together. They have a high level of respect for each other. They both appear to be modest and appreciative of the staff and business partners that helped them to get to where they are today.
If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
Any award for accomplishments in my career or community service
If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
Walt Disney—I think it would be an interesting day and I also think his influence and contributions have been significant.
Who inspires you?
Various members in my Rotary Club inspire me for the success they have achieved in their careers, as well as the endless volunteer hours (and donations) they contribute to assist those needing assistance. I am also inspired by Lane Merrifield, co-founder of Club Penguin, and Vikram Vij, CEO of VIJ’s Restaurant Inc.
What are three things on your bucket list?
Developing Worlds Connections trip
Bike along the Danube Trail from Vienna to Budapest
See as many of the new Wonders of the World as possible
What are you passionate about?
Assisting clients in a way that positively impacts them, my friends and family, and various sports and outdoor activities.
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
Every day I spent in Turkey and Greece in 2011.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Chairing Ribfest
What is your favourite activity or event in Kamloops? Why?
Ribfest—I enjoy watching so many people in Kamloops being brought together and enjoying themselves, while also having an event to raise significant funds for the community.

Still being the largest independent accounting and business advisory firm in Kamloops, as well as being viewed as a firm that delivers the highest standards of quality while positively impacting our clients. Also, having at least two additional partners and additional staff and clients.

How does your business/organization impact the community?
We provide a variety of services to businesses in all forms, sizes, and industries
The majority of our staff have attended Thompson Rivers University and we attend various mentor/mentee events at TRU.
The firm believe it’s crucial to give back to the community through volunteering and support—many staff members and partners contribute significant volunteer hours through various organizations, the firm donates to various organizations and events, and the partners and staff attend various fundraising events.
The firm received the Community Service Award from the City of Kamloops in 2013, as well as TRU’s Milestone Achievement Award in 2015

What do you think makes Kamloops great?
The best part about Kamloops is the people that live in Kamloops. All the outdoor activities, organized sports programs/leagues, and coaches are also a great aspect of Kamloops. Also, the various businesses and industries in Kamloops make it great.
