Watching my parents provide a life for my brother and I, to give us the chance to make something of ourselves. They started from nothing and went through more trials and tribulations than anyone I know.

What is the name of your business/organization?
inArtifex Design Ltd.
What does your business do?
We design and draft custom residential homes and multi-family projects. We provide construction-ready blueprints and specialize in 3D rendering.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I’ve grown up in the building industry, my father being a builder and my mother being in real estate. I’ve always had a passion for architecture and I found myself always at my dad's job sites, interested in his next project and I wanted to be involved in that.
What is the goal of your business?
To work alongside a developer on a project where we would provide the design guidelines and maintain the overall vision.
What has been your biggest struggle either in work or life?
In work I find my biggest struggle is being judged on my age. I’ve had people assume I don’t have enough experience because I’m young but, on the bright side, I’ve also had clients who have come to me because I’m young and current and stay up-to-date with new technology.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
I feel very fortunate to say that I would do things the same.
Why do you think it is important to shop local?
It’s extremely important to shop local, we need to support each other and build each other up as a community. When one local succeeds, we all succeed.
Give someone that you think deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Melika Edalat, she’s well-rounded in both interior and structural design. She’s very quickly become an integral part of the team.
