Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
I was born in Penticton, and I have lived in Kamloops for 12 years.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
That's a really tough question! My husband Jackson and Sasha for sure, but if I get the chance I'd hang out with my really best buds Brandy and Amanda, or my sister Courtney or my mom!

What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
4Cats Art Studio because they have great art supplies and Surplus Herby's.

Describe yourself in one word.
Adorable.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
If there was a time machine I would love to see Robin Williams play his first role as Mork from Mork and Mindy. I was very upset when I heard Robin Williams died. He's kinda my ideal. I love his spirit and strive to make people happy.

What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Going on outdoor adventures with my Chow Chow mix Sasha. She loves to run her little face-off.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Christmas. 1995. I was 5 years old and with my family in a nice little cabin. We were just sitting down for turkey dinner when I had to fart. I thought if I let it out slowly it wouldn't be loud. Nope. I was very much mistaken. I let out the biggest and loudest fart of my little 5-year-old life. It was complete silents for half a minute I bet...but then my family stood up and clapped and cheered for me. My family has a very good sense of humour.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
Shannon Shaw from Rebel Vision Photography and I created a Facebook called Kamloops Creative Community. It's where people can come together and share their artwork with the entire community. You should see what it's like in Inktober! It has grown so much in the last few years and I can't wait to see what comes next for that amazing community.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Restore communications on difficult topics. It can be hard to talk about the tough subjects nowadays without anger getting involved. If anything it should be insightful and a good way to get to know people.

Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
Cooney Bay, it's where I got married.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
More mental health outreach for the community.

What do you think makes Kamloops great?
The art community is pretty rad!

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
• To do a voice for a cartoon character.
• Go see Scotland again-but more of it.
• and to have as many dogs as I can!

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I aspire to become a voice actor! Dream job.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?
You can message me on my Instagram or Facebook.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Deadly Darling Designs and Photography.

Why did you get into/start this business?
Art is something I enjoy doing and I love trying new and different things.

What is the goal of your business?
I always love helping others, so I have often helped others create their own brand and style!

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Motivation. Some days, I'd love to just get into my onesie, and watch cartoons all-day.

What do you always find yourself saying?
"Cheese and rice!"

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Communication. If you don't have that, you are hooped!

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
My friend Brandy. She lives in another province and it sucks!

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Being a rescue dog mom. Sasha's the best!

Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
Shelby Purcha! You can find her Instagram @appledaggerart. She is a fantastic person and an amazing artist!
