Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
I was born in Victoria but moved around quite a bit. I moved to Kamloops about 8 years ago. This is the only place I felt was “home” Love it here and never plan to move away.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My family and co-workers. ! They are fantastic and supportive. I would not be where I am today without them ❤️.

What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
Petland !!! Great staff, amazing store. They are also locally owned and VERY involved in the community. Beautiful people.

Describe yourself in one word.
Loving.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Disneyland. I’ve never been and would love to go just once!

What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
That’s a hard one. There is so much to do here, but I’d have to say my favourite is taking a drive in my Jeep and exploring nature.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I’m not sure... I don’t embarrass that easily...but I’m sure at some point I’ve probably split my pants or something lol.

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
My service dog clients and their children, inspire me every day. They are so strong, brave, courageous and caring. They are truly amazing.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Riding my horses, hanging out with my farm animals and dogs and just simply being a farm girl with farm life.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I trained and donated a therapy dog to the Chris Rose Center for Autism, who has been working with all the children there for almost a year now. Volunteer for fundraiser events, help when needed, supply free services for many non-profits in the area. I also offer free training to dogs currently in foster through dog rescues to help increase their chances of adoptability.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
More kindness and compassion. Both are so important.

Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
My Jeep. Love going for a drive and just enjoy the beauty that is Kamloops.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
More support for those with disabilities. Especially children and army vets. I often feel as though we can do better. They need our help, and we should do more for them and their families. Day to day for them can be very difficult.

What do you think makes Kamloops great?
Besides the fact that it’s beautiful? Both the people in it as well as the view.
