I ripped my pants while dancing and it wasn’t like a tiny rip, it was in half and I feel like I would have gotten fewer stares if I was in just my underwear.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Nothing has happened to me personally that I can think of, so I’ll use my favourite quote, “There’s never a bad time to do a good thing.”

I say 'oops' or 'whoops' a lot haha.
Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Life gets easier if you say sorry first.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
The Imagine Dragons singer, Dan Reynolds. I would pick his brain about the meaning behind his songs.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
When you support small business owners, it helps to bolster entrepreneurship in others. They see that people actually care about small businesses instead of relying solely on large national retailers. If you have children, it is a great lesson to teach them.
Give someone you think that deserves it a shout out and explain why!
My mom, Kelly Hales. She has owned a business here in town for almost 20 years and she is one of the strongest women I know.
My choice for the KamloopsBCNow In Focus spotlight is:
Kelly Hales.
