Meet Tyson Witt. Tyson has lived in Kamloops his whole life. He is an enthusiastic man who always enjoys spending time with his family or going on an adventure.
Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
I have lived in Kamloops my whole life. Currently, love living in Bachelor Heights.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My Dad. We have a lot of fun together. Whether that be hanging out by the water or talking business/real estate, we just have a good time together.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
Reservoir Coffee.
Describe yourself in one word.
Enthusiastic.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
A place where my family and I could go and enjoy our time together. I am thinking somewhere hot with an all-inclusive option at the resort by the ocean.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Floating down the river in the summer.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Well...
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
I went to a Youth Conference this past May with about 50 kids down in Chilliwack. It was amazing! The speakers were great, but what was more rewarding and inspiring was to watch the kids that you have invested in the past couple years take the reigns and do such a great job. Helping and praying for kids is powerful.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
I have two. One is the endless summer days at Shuswap Lake camping with the family. Staying up late around the fire and being out by/on the water all day, just awesome. The other memory would be going to Colorado with the Kamloops Midget Tier 1 team and winning the whole tournament. Such an amazing experience! Felt like team Canada beating the USA, will never forget that!
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I currently volunteer at Bible Truth Church as a youth leader and help out with the Young Adults groups as well. I love getting to know people and helping them with whatever I can.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
To give the hopeless hope. To help people get back up their feet, and with that, a lot of things would change. Poverty, health, relationships are just a few that would change for the better.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
I like to run to a mountain top. the running clears my mind and when I get to the top I can relax and look at the view of the city.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
More community events. Such as the big block party, Brewloops, and music in the park, to have more community events like these would be great for Kamloops.
What do you think makes Kamloops great?
Community, everybody knows everybody.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Hmm, I would love to be able to make enough money with my business to pay off my parents mortgages, buy my dad his dream car, and my best friend his favourite truck, things like that excites me. I love to give. Travelling would be great. Buy a corvette.

I like to drive fast... a lot.
How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?

Dream big, aim for the stars and see where you land.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
Luke Bryan, he seems like he would be a good time. We would have to have some good country music on and a bonfire. Mark Cuban would be good too, more business-related things though.
