Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
St. John's, Newfoundland. Been in Kamloops for 13 years.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Johanna Short because she is the love of my life! She is super fun, caring, and adventurous.
What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
District Bicycles because of the great friendly staff!
Describe yourself in one word.
Thoughtful
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Iceland because it's beautiful.
What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
Mountain biking
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Wet myself in grade 6. Cried myself out of the class.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
This year, getting an invite to go to Switzerland. Went home on a Friday after work, booked a ticket, and was on a plane by Monday. All to meet my future girlfriend.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Too many to list just one, but my consistently favourite event was Christmas time. Visiting friends, opening presents, and playing in the snow.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I have been maintaining and trail building for many years now. Back breaking work, but seeing the smiles on people's faces is reward enough.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Women's rights or child poverty. Unfortunately those are too closely tied together to pick just one.
Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
Hiking in the hills around Kamloops. Ten minutes into my walk and I don't see anyone.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
Better access to trails within city limits.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Shopping local keeps money in the community. You are directly helping those who own the business thrive and provide for their families.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
My four children.
