Nearly three years ago the Parent family lost their son Cole on December 27th, 2012. When the Parent family decided to take family photos with their newborn Isla, it didn’t feel right not have Cole there. Cole passed away just one month before his ninth birthday as he lost his fight with brain cancer.

That is when Jodi and Ted Parent and their photographer came up with a unique idea to include their son in the special photographs. The family tasked Natalie D’Aoust to not only capture the family in beautiful photos, but also somehow include Cole in them.

D’Aoust used original photos of Cole and imbedded him into the new family photos, to help complete the family’s wishes.

"Almost three years ago our Cole gained his angel wings but in return he gave us our very own angel here on earth, Miss Isla. Our family is now complete!" said the Parents.

The impact of the photos has not only touched the family, but so many others who have been moved by their story.

“Every time I look at this photo it brings tears of happiness to my eyes as I know my Cole is and will always be looking over my shoulder, keeping our family close to his heart,” said Jodi.
