The list of the top baby names in the United States for 2015 has been released and some familiar names have once again topped the list.
The most popular name for a baby girl in 2015 was Emma, as 20,355 babies were given this name. Emma was also the top baby name for 2014. Emma was followed by Olivia, Sophia, Ava, and Isabella. The top boy’s name for 2015 was Noah, with 19,511 boys given this name in the United States. Noah was also the most popular boy’s name in 2014.
The top five boy’s names for 2015 include Liam, Mason, Jacob, and William. All five of these names were also the top boy’s names in 2014.
The top 1,000 baby names of 2015 list is compiled by the website Babyname wizard. The names are taken from the official Social Security Administration list.
The company has yet to release the most popular baby names in Canada for 2015.
