Fun indoor activities to get you out of the smoke

It looks like the smoke could be sticking around for a little while longer.

This type of air quality can have a lot of negative effects on people and according to health officials, the best thing to do is to stay inside.

We compiled a list of things to do within Kamloops that are fun and still allow you to be inside!

Kamloops has some awesome local breweries, and this weather may be the perfect excuse to go visit them.

Drink and eat your woes away in a nicely air-conditioned building away from all the smoke!

Bring some friends and make an afternoon out of it. Just make sure to plan a safe ride home!

Hitting up a local lake or backyard pool would be ideal if it weren't for all the smoke.

The Canada Games Aquatic Centre and Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre can cool you down and keep you smoke-free!

Not to mention, day passes are extremely affordable. Win-win!

One of the awesome things about Kamloops is the number of cute cafes we have!

All of our local cafes have an adorable atmosphere that is perfect for wasting away an afternoon in. Whether you bring a book or catch up with some old friends, these welcoming environments make for a great indoor activity.

Plus, they always have baked goods!
