There was a big sense of pride in Vancouver over the long weekend.
The 39th annual Vancouver Pride Parade took over the streets of downtown Vancouver with people of all shapes, sizes, colours and beliefs coming together to celebrate.
Justin Trudeau didn’t march in this year’s parade, but Canada’s Minister of Defence and Vancouver South MP, Harjit Sajjan, represented the federal government.
Vancouver mayor, Gregor Robertson, and B.C. premier, John Horgan, were both on hand for the festivities.
Other celebrities on hand included Jake Virtanen, Erik Gudbranson and Troy Stecher from the Vancouver Canucks, as well as the cast of Sense8 who are in town filming.
Here are some of the best pictures and videos from Sunday’s parade!
