Nanaimo, BC-based dance duo ‘Funkanometry’ received a one-of-a-kind shout-out from legendary pop artist Annie Lennox this week.
A video of Jacksun Fryer and Carlow Rush, who make up Funkanometry, dancing to ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’ was retweeted by Lennox, who co-wrote the number-one hit along with Dave Stewart during her time with the pop group Eurythmics in 1983.

Funkanometry first entered the spotlight during their appearance on the hit reality show America’s Got Talent earlier this year, where they made all the way to the semifinals.
Their unique dance style and enthusiasm has allowed them to reach over 130,000 followers on Instagram and has caught the attention of people worldwide, including that of celebrities such as Lennox.
The group also recently had the opportunity to perform in front of thousands a Rogers Arena during a Vancouver Canucks game.
