Who knows why someone would try to steal a baby goose, but good thing an alert citizen was on hand this time.
User FuelRodZone shared the strange footage on YouTube, which shows a pair of men trying to steal a gosling from Vancouver’s Stanley Park.
The man quickly approaches them, calling for them to “put it back, dude. Put it back. I got you on camera, put it back.”
As he gets closer, he gets a little more aggressive and then finally you see the man in question take the gosling out of his sweatshirt and place it on the ground.
“F***ing scumbag,” the man filming says to him.
The two men on bikes pipe back at him and the parties exchange pleasantries before they bike away.
All's well that ends well, however, and the little gosling is reunited with the other geese who were sitting nearby.
There’s no way to know what prompted this strange theft attempt, but if you’re ever unsure just remember that it’s not okay to take baby animals from parks.
