If this doesn’t get you pumped for ski season, nothing will.
The North Face teamed up with Sherpas Cinema to shoot an incredible ski video in the City of Nelson, inspired by a concept that the late J.P. Auclair made famous.
The four-minute long video primarily features Tom Wallisch, but also sees Sequoia Colbeck join in the fun near the end.
It starts out with a family driving through town, the parents in front having a discussion about certain responsibilities while their kid daydreams in the back.
As the young boy starts to jump from rooftop to rooftop with his fingers, pretending he’s making the tricks on skis, Wallisch jumps into the frame and takes over.
The 30-year-old starts speeding through the town, hitting nearly every roof and rail as he goes, leaping cars and other obstacles.
As he makes his way through Nelson, the narrative with the parents adds a bit of humour from time to time, but the focus is on Wallisch’s incredible skills.
The video, made in the memory of Auclair, not only showcases some incredible moves on skis, but also highlights one of B.C.’s most beautiful spots.
Through just two days, the video on The North Face Facebook page has been viewed 570,000 times and shared more than 7,200 times.
It will surely climb into the millions and show the world what B.C. has to offer.
And just in case you were wondering about the song, it's by The Avalanches and it's called 'Because I'm Me.'
