A frantic search is underway for two-year-old boy who has gone missing in southern Manitoba.
Chase Martens was last seen in the area of Highway 34 and the community of Austin outside his home at around 6 pm on Tuesday. The RCMP is appealing to the community to help find the missing toddler, who is approximately 2’5” tall, with blue eyes, and light brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black splash pants, a red hat, and boots with flashing lights.
Police dogs, helicopters, and search and rescue teams have been called in to help locate the missing boy. He was last seen playing outside of his home when he suddenly disappeared. More than 200 searchers were involved in overnight efforts to locate Martens, with the search continuing on Wednesday.
The travelling public is being asked to keep an eye out for the missing boy, and if they notice anything or if they have information to contact the nearest police detachment.
