Putin tops Trump on National Naughty List

If it where up to Canadians, Russian President Vladimir Putin would of received a bunch of coal in his stocking Christmas morning.

Canadians say that Putin (83%) should be atop Santa’s “naughty” list for 2016, even beating out U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump (80%) for the naughtiest person on Santa’s list, according to a new Ipsos poll.

Other candidates to have received a majority of naughty votes include Canada's own Justin Bieber (77%), Hillary Clinton (55%), Interim Conservative Party Leader Rona Ambrose (54%), Drake (52%) and NDP Leader Tom Mulcair (50%).

Conversely, topping Santa’s “nice” list US President Barack Obama (83%), Queen Elizabeth (82%), the Toronto Blue Jays (80%), Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip (71%), the Montreal Canadiens (70%), Ryan Reynolds (67%) and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (61%).

For British Columbians, over half (55%) put Premiere Christy Clark on the naughty list.

Regarding Prime Minister Trudeau, three in four (74%) Atlantic Canadians would put him on the “nice” list, while fewer Quebecers (63%), Ontarians (62%), British Columbians (61%) and residents of Saskatchewan and Manitoba (52%) would do the same. However, only 47% of Albertans say Trudeau deserves to be on Santa’s “nice” list, while 53% say he has been “naughty” this year.
