We all know Canadians have a reputation for being incredibly nice, and this just proves it to be even truer.
Canada has ranked as one of the top countries in the world in the Good Country Index, which measures what each country contributes to the common good of humanity, and what it takes away, relative to its size.
Using a wide range of data from the U.N. and other international organizations, they have given each country a balance sheet "to show at a glance whether it’s a net creditor to mankind, a burden on the planet, or something in between.”
The ranking was based on seven different categories including science and technology, culture, international peace and security, world order, planet and climate, prosperity and equality, and health and well-being.
Canada was ranked 14th overall. Our best category was health and well-being, where Canada scored 8th in the world.
