Dreamgro travel soother recalled due to choking hazard

A popular children’s travel soother is being recalled across Canada due to a choking hazard, says Health Canada.

The agency reports that 2,700 Dreamgro Lullaby Travel Soothers were sold in Canada between February and May of this year.

The soother, which comes in pink and light blue mermaid styles, plays music and includes a detachable hook to attach it to a stroller, car seat, crib or travel bed.

However, it is a gold star decoration that may detach easily and presents the choking hazard, the recall says.

As of Aug. 28, the company received no reports of incidents or injuries.

Regardless, people are advised to immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to any Winners, HomeSense or Marshalls for a refund.

Health Canada says people can call TJX Canada by telephone toll-free at 1-800-646-9466, Monday to Friday, between 9 am to 5 pm EST for more information.

Alternatively, people can visit the Winners, HomeSense or Marshalls recall websites.
