Health Canada has issued a recall for almost 100 different Elite brand sweet treats.
The recall was issued Friday, April 29 due to possible salmonella contamination and includes chewing gum, various chocolates, cookies and candies.
The products were sold nationally and may have labels in English or Hebrew.
Health Canada says that the recall was triggered by a recall in another country and there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Anything sold up to and including April 29, 2022 should be disposed of.
According to an information bulletin, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is now conducting an investigation.
